With over 20 years of recruitment experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible organisations and truly inspirational people, many of whom took the time to support and guide me along the way. I’ll always be grateful for the role they played in shaping my career.

At 19, I moved down South and somehow found myself in the world of recruitment and I’ve never looked back. Over the years, I’ve worked with amazing clients (many of whom have become friends) and placed more candidates than I can count. To this day, I’m still just as passionate and driven as I was when I first started.

Some years later, I moved back up North, and a role became available at Austin Banks Recruitment, a role that would go on to change everything. I started out as a Recruitment Consultant, and after a few years, I had the opportunity to take over the business. I went from consultant to business owner almost overnight! I have ran the business for over 10 successful years, all while juggling life as a mum and navigating the highs and lows of the recruitment rollercoaster.

When I’m not working, I’m usually running around after my son, who seems to think I’m his personal taxi driver! Most weekends, you’ll find me at the side of a rugby pitch, rain or shine, cheering him on.

I absolutely love to travel and explore new places, but my all-time favourite destination has to be Thailand.

If I wasn’t in recruitment… I honestly don’t know what I’d be doing... I’ve been in this industry for so long! Maybe something that involves travelling or being near the beach and sea.
